What People's Say About Place

I’m glad I decided to try this for place again a few Sundays ago because it was a completely different experience than my initial visit on Friday with the “ox tails” dinner & desserts I ordered. I’m basing the 5 stars on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th visit which was yesterday. The couple willing there are so nice & just really make you feel valued. The food was just like grandma & mama which mine are both top notch cooks. I definitely recommend going on Sunday I guess it’s a different menu & staff. I get the smothered pork chops, macaroni and cheese, candied yams. The banana pudding was delicious! I tried the lasagna, turkey wing & dressing too which I liked also.

The food was really good and flavorful, I actually hadn’t had chicken in almost 4 years but I felt a little adventurous today and it was well worth it! Oh and the customer service was pretty fire too, which is OVERLY important to me. The place is also really clean and welcoming with some good jazz playing in the background. The young lady at the counter was very personable, I’ll definitely be back! I was surprised at the prices as well, I’d definitely actually be willing to pay a little more.

The two big pork chops were fall off the bone delicious, with yummy gravy generously dousing them and the rice. The whitefish was hot out of the oil, with a perfect light crunchy cornmeal crust. The man who served us was highly professional and very nice. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I’ll be back for sure.

Been here for a while. Been looking for good soul food. Found the BEST yet in the n for neighborhood! I had turkey wing. Very well seasoned and not drowning in some strange white gravy. You get WING and it's delicious! Sides were collars and potatoes with peppers and onions. Both pretty outstanding! Companion had the fried chicken. In couple of minutes there was nothing left but none because it was so good! Sides were mac n cheese and cabbage. SOOOO goood! Do I recommend? Whole heartedly! I recommend with zero reservations about the flavors!

This quaint litte (meat and two) joint put soul food on my map forever. I never had real Salisbury steak before and let me tell you it kicks the pants off TV dinners. I can't give it enough stars. Clean friendly and delicious. Get of the highway and get over here and put some soul in your mouth hole it's awesome....yes I said mouth hole.
